Our Veterinarians

Dr. Robert Green

Dr. Green grew up on a farm in the area and has always enjoyed working with animals. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1991 the small town atmosphere drew him back to the area. He was keen to convert what used to be the post office into the NEWCASTLE VETERINARY CLINIC in 1994. Over the years he has tried to hire talented local people with similar interests in maintaining a connection with their community. Dr. Green enjoys meeting new people and their pets and likes to catch up with long time clients and their pets. He has a special interest in surgery and likes the challenge of unique medical and surgical cases. He also enjoys being able to get out on the road for those pets or owners who cannot make it to the clinic.

Dr. Dale Stevens

Dr. Dale Stevens graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1998. He joined the Newcastle Veterinary Clinic team in 2005. He loves having the chance to make a difference in the lives of his patients and their families. During his off time, he enjoys spending time with his family and pets, is an avid cyclist, enjoys woodworking, and listening to music.

Dr. D'Arcy Dykeman

Dr. D’Arcy Dykeman graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2020. She started her career here with us at the Newcastle Veterinary Clinic in June. She has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember and is so excited to finally be working at her dream job. D’Arcy is looking forward to being able to provide a quality and meaningful patient and client experience. In her free time she enjoys running, water and downhill skiing, baking, and of course snuggling all of her friends pets! Top of her to do list is to have a furry friend to call her own.

Our Veterinary Technicians

Registered Veterinary Technician, Hospital Manager

Brittany spent her first days inside Newcastle Veterinary Clinic as a Clarke High School co-op student which steered her towards Seneca College's Veterinary Technician program. She received her diploma from Seneca College in 2006 and soon after successfully completed the VTNE to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. When she's not working in the clinic she is most likely to be found baking vegan treats, going to concerts or watching movies. She is the proud mom of two cats, Parsnip and Tuna.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Rose graduated from the St. Lawrence College Veterinary Technician program in 2020 and successfully completed the VTNE in 2021 to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has had a love for animals since she was a young child and knew that there was no other career for her but one that involved animals. She is so glad she was able to turn one of her biggest loves and passions into her full time job.

Veterinary Technician

Debbie has been a resident of Newtonville for 25 years, and she started working at the Newcastle Veterinary Clinic in September 1996. She acquired her diploma for Veterinary Assistant with the Toronto Veterinary Association. She enjoys helping out with community events with the Newtonville Town Hall Board and she has been working with the Lion's Walk a Dog A-thon in Newcastle. She finds working with animals and their families is a very rewarding career.

Denise has always had a passion to work with animals. She worked for Rodari and Breccon breeding Kennels and also as a pet groomer for several years. In 1999 Denise joined the team at Newcastle Vet Clinic and completed an animal science course . She enjoys working with the staff the many friendly clients and their pets. One of the things that she likes most about this type of work is that you continue to learn new things everyday!

Cheri-Lynn joined the team at NVC in early 2021. She has years of valuable experience in the veterinary field, including working in an emergency clinic.

Sue Green

Reception, Book Keeper

Sue has always been around animals. She helped establish Newcastle Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Green. Her time spent caring for the animals at NVC has diminished over the years as other responsibilities at the clinic and at home arose. While working part time as a receptionist at NVC she is always amazed at how quickly the puppies, kittens and children have grown up!
